A nice heavy hammer that swings well. If it had softer rubber tips like my old Tromner hammer (which I lost), I would have given it 5 stars. Also wish I could have gotten my name engraved on it!
It's balance and weight make up for a perfect swing to elicit osteotendinous reflexes. It is not too heavy and it fits in my coat, so I can carry it with me when moving around the hospital. Also, I find it very practical to elicit plantar reflex; In my personal opinion, I feel more secure when trying to elicit plantar reflex if the pointy lower tip of the hammer doesn't come off.
I'm a new pediatric neurology practitioner and absolutely love this reflex hammer. Good weight and elicits reflexes easily.

Good hammer for a reasonable price. It fits in the front pocket of my pants or my white coat pocket. It is relatively lightweight and has a soft tip so that I don't feel like I am smashing my fingers with it. The weight distribution is pretty good, but has some room for improvement. Overall, very solid.
